Breaking: The Mandela Family has through a statement announced the untimely passing of their daughter, granddaughter and mother Zoleka Mandela, who has over the years been battling with terminal cancer.
The announcement was shared through her personal social media platforms such as instagram which confirms that she passed away on the evening of the 25 September 2023.
Apart from being recognised as a South African writer, author and activist, Zoleka was popularly known for being the Granddaughter of former South African Leader; President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela and daughter to Zindzi Mandela.
Zoleka Mandela was born on 9 April 1980 and passed away on the 25 September 2023.
As a South African writer, Zoleka had penned books about about her addictions, the death of her daughter and her own battles with terminal cancer.
Zoleka Mandela was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer in the year 2011, which she conquered as a successful procedure however the cancer reemerged again in 2016. She has since been sharing her experience with cancer and chemotherapy treatments using her social media platforms and other media platforms to educate people on the fatal disease.
She lives behind Four(4) children. Zoleka Mandela had four children when she unfortunately lost her at the time, 13 year old daughter daughter Zenani Mandela in a fatal car accident on 11 June 2010. In total Zoleka has lost two children.
