Former South African President Jacob Zuma, has indicated his intention to commence with his Private Prosecution, contrary to the judgment handed down by Hon. Judge Roland Sutherland DJP stopping the former Presidents attempt at a Private Prosecution.
The judgment was granted in the Johannesburg High Court, as a remedy to an urgent application brought before the High Court by South Africa’s sitting President, Mr Cyril Ramaphosa, who sought to interdict Jacob Zuma from proceeding with the Private Prosecution implicating him, until the application to set aside the private prosecution is heard, however the former President has indicted that he isn’t having it!
According to the Johannesburg High Court records, the sitting President’s bid to invalidate the Private Prosecution is set to be heard on the 17 – 18 May 2023.
