Thee new king of the British Monarch, Your majesty King Charles, has released his first statement on the passing of his mother Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away this afternoon at age 96.
The news of her passing was announced on the official Twitter account of the “Royal Family” and later shared across their various media and communications platforms.
Her passing marks the end of the longest reigning monarch and royal era.
In a heartfelt statement King Charles said; “The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all the members of my family”.

The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.
