South Africa’s Tete Dijana is the official victor of todays marathon, as he claims the win for the mens leg of the race, at the 95th Comrades Marathon taking place in Durban South Africa.
Tete claimed victory following his arrival at the Moses Mabhida Stadium at a laborious time of 5 hours – 30 minutes and 38 seconds, in an arduous effort to secure the gold medal.
Dijana – the new comrades title holder who has today made his mark in history, hails from Mahikeng in the North West province of South Africa, where he is employed as a security guard at the North West University – Mahikeng Campus.
Strength, hard work and perseverance is what Dijana has portrayed in his quest for victory, as the resolute spirit he has displayed throughout the race, to achieve the goal he set for himself is highlighted and supported by social media engagements, that give light of Tete’s determination during the preparation stages of todays race.
