BREAKING: The National Lotteries Commission has this afternoon responded to the raid of their Kimberly Offices by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) this morning.
In the statement released this afternoon, the NLC has assured that it has been cooperating with the SIU’s investigation into the allegations of corruption and maladministration within the commission.
The management of the NLC is monitoring the developments closely and will decide on a course of action once all the facts have been made available to the commission by the SIU – NLC Statement.

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has this morning raided the National Lotteries Commission Kimberly office after obtaining a search and seizure warrant from the magistrates court in the district of Kimberly.
UpdateSA has been made privy to the contents of the application made by the SIU for the Search & Seizure warrant to the Magistrates Court in Kimberly.

The raid comes after the investigating unit received a tip-off from a whistle blower, alleging that there is corrupt activity taking place at the NLC Kimberly office through the fraudulent administration of grant funding processes.
UpdateSA has not been successful in its attempt to reach the spokesperson of the National Lotteries Commission Mr. Ndivhuho Mafela for a comment.
