Sihle Ziqubu (14) is still missing after he went swimming with his friends at the Klip River on the 14th of January.
According to his friends, Ziqubu was swept away by the heavy currents during the Lady Smith floods last week.
Media reports says that Sihle’s mother, Thulile Ziqubu, says the case of his missing son is taking a toll on her, emotionally and physically and she has no one to speak to.
The anguished mother is asking for more information from the police on her son’s case.
She said she has not received any updates but is only informed by neighbours when they see divers by the riverside.
According to Police, the search is still continuing.
Thulile Ziqubu says Sihle is the only person she had and that she could rely on and all she needs now is some closure.
