Arise and Shine Gospel Church Apostle, Benjamin Dingiso’s bail application has been postponed and two new charges were added by the state.
NPA Spokesperson, Phindi Mjonondwane, said the state has added two new charges of rape and sexual assault, after two new victims came forward to open a case against the Apostle.
“Currently we have six dockets with eight victims,” says Mjonondwane.
The Pastor appeared at the Palm Ridge Regional Court on charges of alleged rape sexual assault.
Religious leaders including Pastor Mboro have called for the closure of the church.
“We say it must close down because it is a cult not a church,” Mboro said.
Pastor Mboro said they are really praying that Apostle Dingiso doesn’t get bail.
“It is not serving the purpose of being a church. A church cannot sodomise, cannot destroy,”
Mboro further said.
