The South African Weather Services says the rainy weather experienced in various parts of the country is set to continue.
According to the Weather services a tropical moisture will be in circulation over the central and eastern parts of South Africa today and tomorrow.
Forecaster, Wayne Venter, says there is a possibility of scattered thundershowers, especially over central parts of the Eastern Cape during the afternoon.
“Some of the storms may become severe and produce some heavy rainfall and flash flooding especially over the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
For the rest of the country we have some isolated thunderstorms still possible later this afternoon over parts of KwaZulu Natal and Gauteng. It’s a bit of a cloudy start to the day so that is going to keep temperature’s in the low to mid 20s over much of the central and eastern parts,” said Venter.
Venter further adds that the sun is only expected on Friday.
“Sunny conditions coming through from Friday into the weekend with no rain for central and eastern parts of South Africa during the course of the weekend with very hot conditions expected in western parts,” he said.
