The Action SA council will be meeting again on Tuesday pending the decision and outcome of the complaint filed with the Action SA disciplinary committee by party leader, Herman Mashaba against Dr Makhosi Khoza who has resigned as Action SA’s Kwazulu-Natal Chairperson.
Mashaba says the complaint is based on media interviews made by Dr Khoza and was waiting on the committee’s feedback.
According to the party leader, he received the resignation letter and understood that Dr Khoza was taking time off to help grow the business.
“I accepted it because we did not have resources to offer her more than what we were already giving her,” he said.
He further stated that they were paying her more than what an ordinary councillor earns. It was after he has received the letter that he heard rumours that Dr Khoza says she was targeted by the party’s leadership on suspicion of being with the ANC.
When asked about Dr Khoza’s offered position in the ANC, the party leader said; “After a week of the resignation, we learned throughmedia that she has been elected as chairperson of sector 79 Mk in the ANC,” said Mashaba.
ActionSA has appointed eThekwini party chief whip Musa Kubheka as the new provincial chairperson to replace Dr Khoza.
