The African National Congress (ANC), says they will be taking action against the daughter of Jacob Zuma, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla following her social media remarks on the violent protests happening in some parts of South Africa.
Secretary-General of the ANC, Jessie Duarte says it is unacceptable for Zuma-Sambudla to incite violence and promote the damaging of infrastructure.
Zuma’s daughter, Duduzile has been a motivation and supporting the #FreeZuma protests which have turned violent in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
“She will have to answer. She is the member of the ANC, every other member is equal with the other member of the ANC,” said Duarte.
The ANC has previously also raised concerned about the violent protests in some parts of KZN and GP.
Infrastructure has been damaged, with shops and other businesses looted and torched.
President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation on Monday and deployed military personnel to help the police better manage the situation.
Ramaphosa said those who are involved in the lootings will be prosecuted and will face the full might of the law.
