Uthando Lodumo, their brand new reality show follows the couple leading up to their traditional wedding that took place earlier this year. In the first trailer, Shiroma reveals that they fell in love before they started making music together.

“We dated for a while before we got into music,” he said.

According to reports, Mampintsha’s representatives can be seen paying the Simelane’s (Babe’s family) a visit to ask for their daughter’s hand in marriage. The request was initially turned down. The viewers will get an exclusive look into the lobola negotiations and the bridal price for Babes. The couple’s high profile traditional wedding which took place in April will also be documented by the show.

The exclusive wedding was attended by close family and friends.

Babes took to social media to give us highlights from her big day and thanked everyone who came together to make her special moment possible. She captioned the post saying “Ngiyabonga kubo bonke abaphumelelile ngiyofasa ofindo lika sofa silahlane. Sengingasho kugcwale umlomo ngingu maSimelane ogane Ka Maphumulo.”

According to a statement issued by Showmax, the show is produced and directed by SAFTA winner Thomas Gumede and SAFTA nominee Lungile Radu through their production company, Parental Advisory.

“No one will be able to predict everything that happens in this show,” said Thomas Gumede.

Earlier this year, Babes was chatting to Mac G on his podcast and chill session where Babes hinted that she had a reality show on the way. As she thought their relationship won’t go anywhere, Babes opened up about dating her husband when she was still in her teens.

“I met Mampintsha when I was still a video vixen. I was 16/17 years old. He’d always call me to check up on me and I ended up catching feelings. We will be surprising you guys soon – our wedding special will be on Showmax,” Wodumo said.
