President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to address the nation soon on Covid-19 restrictions as the country enters the third wave of infections.
Minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni announced the possible address by the president at a media briefing on Thursday.
Ntshavheni says Cabinet is concerned about the increasing number of infections, deaths and active case of Covid-19 in recent weeks.
According to Ntshavheni cabinet is discussing and consulting on measures to implement.
“A decision will be taken soon after the consultation and we will announce a date in which the president will call a family meeting. We can confirm to South Africans; there will be a family meeting soon,” said Ntshabeni.
