The African National Congress (ANC) Youth League in Limpopo has called on the ANC National Executive Committee to reconsider the ‘step aside’ resolution.
Limpopo youth league says that the new resolution by the NEC deepen divisions within the ANC.
The National Executive Committee of the ANC took a resolution that members of the ANC formally charged with corruption will have to step aside from all government and party positions with immediate effect until their court cases are finalized.
The decision has been taken after a three-day ANC national executive council (NEC).
Earlier in the week, Fezile Dabi regional co-ordinator in the Free State, Reagan Booysens, said that the region will interdict the stance on the ‘step aside’ resolution.
“We are going to interdict that (step aside) thing, we just waiting for the due date and we are going to interdict that decision. Because we know the decisions we took at Nasrec and branches are talking about interdicting, because of the decisions they took in Nasrec,” added Booysens.
