The man accused of being the mastermind behind Tshegofatso Pule’s murder appeared again at the Roodepoort magistrate’s court on Thursday.
32 year old Ntuthuko Shoba was arrested earlier this year after his alleged accomplice, Muzikayise Malephane, the man who confessed to killing Pule, turned State witness.
The court heard how Pule feared that Shoba, who was the father of her unborn child will harm her and her baby.
WhatsApp conversations between Shoba and Pule revealed that Shoba was not happy about her pregnancy.
“Do you blame me when I say I don’t trust you? I know you don’t want this child,” one text read.
The court also got to learn that they apparently had aborted their first pregnancy and Shoba wanted to abort them again.
Mobile phone records also revealed that the accused used an unregistered mobile phone to contact Pule and the killer Mzikayise Malephane on the day of the murder.
Shoba insists he is innocent.
Tshegofatso Pule was found hanging from a tree last year, she was eight months pregnant.
The matter has been postponed to 26 April.
