IRepZA hosts a back to school drive in Alexandra.

I Represent South Africa(IRepZA), is hosting a back to school drive in Pan Africa Mall, Alexandra.

According to Londiwe Mlotshwa, one for the representatives of IRepZA the drive is to rectify the injustices caused by the scourge of Covid-19 on the less fortunate by giving them an awakened hope in the new academic year.

“The deep impact of COVID-19 in communities like Alexandra has forced families to continue to make difficult decisions each day between food, utilities, and now, supplies for their children to be prepared to learn in the new school year” said Mlotshwa.

Mlotshwa said they have partnered with a few known celebrities in South Africa to ensure that the Back to School drive is not only a success but has deep long lasting impact in the lives of the children in Alexandra.

“Regardless of where students are learning, equal access to school supplies impacts their self-esteem, interest in education, and class participation. Knowing this, teachers often purchase supplies out of their own pockets to help their students reach their fullest educational potential.

“That’s why we as IRepZA have taken a drive to help out where we can and we calling on the citizens of South Africa to be part of this change,” added Mlotshwa.
