ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule says Former President Jacob Zuma has done nothing wrong.
This follows after Zuma has released a statement that says he would rather be arrested that appear at the Zondo commission of inquiry.
Speaking at Soweto, where he was paying the party’s respects to the recently deceased struggle stalwart Rebecca Kotane, Magashule defended the former president.
Magashule was asked why he was not calling Zuma to order and he replied by saying he would not be calling Zuma to order because he doesn’t see anything wrong that he has done.
“What has Zuma done?” Magashule asked.
“I respect president Zuma. President Zuma is a South African, he has his own views and rights. So you can’t want me to talk on Zuma. I don’t see nothing wrong he has done” said Magashule.
Magashule said there are many wrong things happening in South Africa.
“We can even go to the TRC where Botha refused to go to the TRC and nobody said anything. The media said nothing. There are TRC prosecutions which are supposed to happen, they are not happening” added Magashule.
He further said that the ANC’s national executive committee has not had the opportunity to discuss the calls to suspend former president Jacob Zuma.
