President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation at 8pm, on developments in relation to the country’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.
There has been speculation that President Cyril Ramaphosa will announce a possible easing of restrictions on alcohol sales.
The second wave of the coronavirus reached a peak in all provinces and the daily infection rate has since dropped dramatically according to the department of health.
The address follows meetings in recent days of the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC), the President’s Coordinating Council (PCC) and cabinet.
