As of today, the total number of confirmed #COVID19 cases is 1 453 761, the total number of deaths is 44 164 according to the Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize.
“Regrettably, 213 more Covid-19 related deaths have been reported, with 95 deaths in the Eastern Cape, 8 in the Free State, 58 in Gauteng, 23 in KwaZulu-Natal, 17 in Mpumalanga, 4 in the Northern Cape and 8 in the Western Cape. This brings the total to 44 164 deaths,” said Mkhize.
South Africa’s recoveries now stand at 1 299 620, representing a recovery rate of 89%.
