Tropical storm Eloise has caused havoc in some parts of Limpopo, several houses, roads and bridges have been destroyed.

This comes after Mozambique’s coastal city of Beira, was hit by Tropical storm Eloise on Saturday.

The Vhembe District is the most affected so far.

Weather forecaster Wayne Venter said that more heavy rain could be expected in Limpopo, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal, motorists have aslo been urged to be cautious on the roads.

“We still have that warning for the possibility of heavy rainfall, widespread flooding in some parts of the country” explained Venter.

According to Elias Sithole head of Gauteng Management Centre, northern parts of Gauteng might also be affected.

“Gauteng has activated its contingency plans to deal with the storm . Communities in Tshwane might be affected” said Elias.
