Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane made a brief appearance at the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Thursday, where the case against her was postponed to March 25 2021.
Mkhwebane appeared on three charges of perjury.
NPA said, Mkhwebane lied about the number of meetings with the President and the content of those meetings.
Head of Accountability director Paul Hoffman laid a complaint against her. This was after the Constitutional Court upheld a 2019 High Court ruling that found Mkhwebane acted dishonestly during her investigation into an apartheid-era loan by the Reserve Bank to Bankorp, now part of Absa.
