This following the announcement by health Minister Zweli Mkhize that the government will be rolling out Covid-19 Vaccine sooner than anticipated in the country.
Zweli Mkhize announced through the Department of Health’s website and social media platforms that South Africa would be receiving is first batch of approximately 1 Million Covid-19 vaccines from India in January of 2021 and the second batch in February 2021.
Ramaphosa has during the festive season addresses the nation, where he announced that the country would be returning to Lockdown Alert Level 3, with immediate affect as of December 28th 2020 midnight.
