One Hit Sensation GeeSixFive “G65” Is No More!

Olpha Selepe aged 65 who is famously referred to by her stage name, GeeSixFive “G65” has died. Olpha was introduced to the public and became a trending sensation, when she set the social media streets ablaze with the release of her comical song “Obani’lababantu”.

The news of her death was confirmed by her niece Sbu Mpungose, who is a former editor of Cosmopolitan and True Love. She confirmed her aunt’s death in the early hours of Wednesday morning through a tweet. The cause of death is not yet known.

Many have already come out on social media to pour out their heartfelt condolences to the Selepe family, voicing how the music industry is shattered by the loss of GeeSixFive “G65”
I listened to her interview on @Radio702 & she said this would be her one & only single and wasn't gonna release anything after it, she'd rather continue with her studies. So I guess we learn that live your life to the fullest & live it like it was your last day #RIPGeeSixFive

“G65” moves from a social media “joke” or “trend” to a true inspiration, when her wisdom captured the hearts of many South Africans during her radio interview on PowerFM with Aldrian Sampear.
Although short lived, She will be remembered for the wise words she imparted on the young people of the country and how she live her last days to the fullest will always set an exemplary message.
