
The residents of Emfuleni municipality in the Vaal have had enough of the lack of service delivery as they have experienced water shortages, unattended sewage and no electricity for the past few days.
The Emfuleni municipality has been implicated in a R872 million unauthorized and irregular wasteful expenditure within the embattled municipality that’s currently under administration.
The community has decided to take it upon themselves to call out the corruption and lack of service delivery as they are tired of their cries not being heard.
Last night, the residents of Emfuleni went to their mayor’s house to disconnect his electricity due the lack of service delivery.
It is alleged that some residents haven’t had electricity and water for months and the municipality has shown no interest in doing anything about it.
