ACCOUNTABILITY AT THE HEART OF TRUST
EFF Commander In Chief & President Julius Malema, along with his leadership team will pay a visit to the Pharmacy Direct CEO Gavin Erasmus tomorrow morning at 11:00.
The special visit to Pharmacy Direct is to confront CEO, Gavie Erasmus for not paying employees the Temporary Employer Relief Scheme (TERS) which was initiated by the government to assist employers in providing wage benefits as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic.
It is alleged that Gavie Erasmus was approached by his employees to solve the issue amicably but he dismissed & gave them an ultimatum to either go back to work or leave his company.
The EFF leadership aims to hold Erasmus accountable for defrauding his employees, as well as making sure he pays them what’s due to them.
We reiterate our call on all companies that have claimed the UIF TERS for their employees to pay workers what is due to them. Otherwise, them too shall receive a special visit from the EFF!– CIC Julius Malema
The EFF urges all workers in South Africa to alert them about companies that have not paid them what’s due to them – so they (EFF) can pay them a special warm visit.
