Cape Town Police are investigating yet another gruesome murder of a young girl aged (17), who was found dead in Philippi in the Cape Flats.
A 17-year-old girl was found dead in Philippi's Brown Farm yesterday. Her lifeless naked body was dumped in Albert Luthuli Street. Police are asking anyone with information to relating to the girl's murder to come forward

Police spokesperson Andre Traut, said the cause of the young girls death is yet to be determined after the teen’s body was found at Browns Farm.
Police confirmed that the young girls seems to have been apparently raped.
There has been a spike in reported Gender Based Violence and Femicide cases in the country over the past few weeks. This incident is an example of the latest in a spate of attacks by men on women and children in South Africa.

Police spokesperson Andre Traut confirmed that the suspect has been charged.
“Our investigation into the murder of a 17-year-old girl whose body was found naked yesterday morning at around seven led to the arrest of a man into his 20s. The suspect is currently being questioned and once he has been charged, he’s due to make a court appearance.” – Andre Traut.
