Zodwa Wabantu Urges South Africans To #StayHome

Well known and loved Celebrity, Entertainer and Business Woman Zodwa Wabantu has a message for fellow South Africans in light of the current invisible warfare that has struck the globe, being that of the Covid -19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.

Amidst the lockdown period imposed on the country as announced on March 23 2020, by president Cyril Ramaphosa celebrity and influencer Zodwa Libram known as Zodwa Wabantu has sent a heartfelt message pleading with fellow South Africans to take the outbreak of the Coronavirus serious and protect themselves against it by staying at home, under the #Stayhome.

Irrespective of the implications that the lockdown has on the entertainment industry and how this has meant a loss of income for many entertainers who rely on the industry for income, celebrities such as Zodwa Wabantu have taken it upon themselves to understand and educate fellow citizens on the severity and impact that the virus has on the country.

As of 28 March 2020 South Africa has announced that it is currently sitting at 1187 confirmed Covid -19 positive cases with 1 confirmed death and not 2 as initially announced.

Celebrities such as Somizi Mlhongo and many others have turned to their social media pages as a medium of communication, not only with their followers or the public but have utilised this as an opportunity to communicate and send messages to the President, Ministers and Government at large about the seriousness of the pandemic and laws put into place to protect the people of South Africa against the virus.
